Big Brother housemate Dennis McHugh has been removed from the Channel 4 show after spitting in the face of fellow contestant Mohamed Mohamed.
The dance student and teacher, 23, is the second housemate to be kicked off the show, after an argument erupted in the early hours of this morning.
Several contestants bickered after chef Rex Newmark played a practical joke culminating in a picture painted by model Jennifer Clark being defaced. During the disagreement, Dennis spat in toy demonstrator Mohamed’s face.
Producers, jumpy after last year’s Celebrity Big Brother bullying row, sent the housemates to separate rooms for the night and cut the incident from the programme’s "as live" stream on E4.
Channel 4 executives reviewed the footage this morning and removed Dennis from the house at 1:15 this afternoon.
A spokeswoman said: "Spitting in someone's face is seriously offensive and Mohamed was understandably upset.
"Big Brother has very clear rules about offensive behaviour. Like all housemates, Dennis was clearly informed before entering the house that he faced eviction if he acted in an unacceptable manner."
It is the second time in as many weeks that producers have removed a contestant from the house. Housemate Alexandra De Gale, 23, from South London, was evicted after threatening contestants with her gangster connections.
She was caught on camera telling Darnell Swallow: “I'm not throwing water at anyone. It's bigger than that . . . personal offence is never forgotten, do you know what I mean?
"We are just inside the house. I've got a very, very, very, very, very strong team outside the house".
She added: "I just can't wait to see my mans and them and see what their plans are, who they got . . . I'm not talking about those mans, I'm talking about my gangster friends. They got some instructions to follow out."
She added later: "I get to go out, see everyone's friends, I get to see their family. I get to do the s*** that I wanna do. Pow, pow, pow."
After De Gale’s eviction last week, Friday night’s planned eviction show was cancelled, but producers say they will go ahead with tonight’s public vote involving Mohamed and Sylvia Barrie.
The spitting incident is to be shown on tonight’s show at 9pm.

Nincompoop TV - what do you expect.
Mike S, London, UK
Why do they always put the most ignorant Black people they can find on this show? There are millions of nice Black people in Britain - lets see some of them instead of these horrid cretins talking about gangsters and being rude
Graham, London,
I think the first comment to this article says it all about some section's of society, that apparently it is ok to behave in a vile, offensive way if you are seen as 'amusing' Mohammed said some time ago that it was Dennis who was bullying him not the other day way around and how true he was.

What on earth do those two guys see in Jen? Shes a whiny, stirring child who s obviously playing the two lads off against each other, and the painting lark! How could anyone get sooo upset over such a trivial matter. Poor old Rex! The sooner Jen and her caked eye lashes goes the better.
Trixie, Hull, UK
i honestly can't take his photo seriously -- its like a camp version of David Brent
ian, manchester, uk
I think that it is really funny that 2 people have been booted out of the house and it is only week 3
Jaye , Forfar, Angus
Thats so unfair! He was quite an amusing housemate. Argh big brother, you make some really wrong decisions!

When are they going to cancel this awful programme...??? It's like having inescapable mental torture inflicted on you around the clock by every kind of media. I'm disappointed in Timesonline - I thought you would at least provide a haven from this trash.
Liz, Sutton Coldfield,
Dennis was out of order, he and several others were obviously drunk and had no reason to act in that manner. He showed an act of the lowest anyone can get, he deserved to be kicked out, all Im wondering is how he will survive in the real world with that on his conscience..
A.Paul, Wolverhampton, England, UK
Big Brother is an absolutely pathetic little program where the maggots of society try and get their 5 minutes of fame to justify their talentless little lives. And shame on the idiots who watch this drivel to make their lives look a little better.
Alastair, London,
When are the directors going to realise that this format of TV is not working and BB should be axed.
Ben Day, melton mowbray,
u need my daughter in there she,s full of fun. not like some of the animals in there
angela, hartlepool, england
What a vile little man. Thank heavens I have no TV and I don't live in the UK. Shameful behaviour. Worse than an animal.
Tina, Dusseldorf, Germany
Well said, Cronan!
Edward, Leeds,
Don't watch it and don't care
Steve, Darlington, UK
Don't watch. It only encourages them.
Cronan, London, UK
Why is this being reported by The Times? The Times is dumbing down more & more it seems. The opinion of a 20 year old student.
