1 Smooth a little concealer onto your eyelids to create a canvas to work on. Next, take a green eyeliner and, turning the nib on its side, apply it to the upper and lower lash lines, extending outwards to create a soft sideways V. Gently soften the line with a small brush.

2 Apply a light green, such as the one in the Chanel palette used here, and sweep over eyelids with the sponge applicator.

3 Using the applicator, apply a darker green shadow to the upper lash lines, extending upwards slightly at the outer corners of the eyes. Then use the clean side of the applicator to feather and blend the two tones together.

4 An unlikely combination, pink and green work surprisingly well together. Using a sponge-tip applicator or a brush, apply a soft-pink shadow to highlight the brow bones.

5 Add a drop of water to the well of the darker green eye shadow or straight onto a small eyeliner brush. When you wet eye shadow, the colour becomes more intense and jewel-like. Take the brush all the way across the upper lash lines; this will act as your eyeliner.

6 Black mascara would detract from the softness, so opt for brown or green. Hold the wand at an angle, so you can get the mascara down to the roots. This will open up the eyes.

TOP TIP Add a touch of the lighter green eye shadow at the inner corners of the eyes to illuminate them and make them look fresh.
