There’s a brand new shoe being touted as the MBT of flip-flops. Designed by a podiatric biomechanist (an expert at analysing gait, posture and how the feet and legs work), Fit Flops are said to provide an uneven surface that makes walking in them more like going barefoot, thereby forcing the leg and bottom muscles to work harder. We have only just got our hands on a pair, so it’s too early to say whether they achieve the same level of thigh-toning and cellulite-busting as MBTs, but they definitely beat a pair of Havaianas for cushioning the feet against hard pavements.
