Basics Enjoyable routine with an instructor called Dolphina.

Easy to follow? Very, as there's only about five movements. Lots of fun.

Good workout? It will tone your stomach and improve hip flexibility.

Recommend it? A good introduction to exercise for anyone who is unfit.

The Beach Bum Workout, £9.98

Basics Tacky (led by a blonde Australian bimbo on a sunny beach).

Easy to follow? Yes. Also has a warm-up and cool-down.

Good workout? Targeted specific areas - legs, bums, arms and tums - and was challenging, but enjoyable. Will help to reduce the flab and tone extremely well.

Recommend it? The cheese factor put me off, but the exercises were very good.

Basics Pilates workout on a beach.

Easy to follow? Yes, with good prompts and clear advice.

Good workout? Relaxing, but unlikely to help you lose weight.

Recommend it? Yes, but only to those who have Pilates or yoga experience.

Basics Your “drill sergeant” leads you through five 10-minute workouts. Feels a bit like a 1980s info-mercial.

Easy to follow? Yes, if you have done aerobics before.

Good workout? A good calorie burner.

Recommend it? Yes, to those who are already pretty fit.

Liz Lark - Yogalibre, £9.98

Basics An intermediate-level yoga workout filmed on the Cornish cliffs.

Easy to follow? Not too bad, but you don't know when to inhale or exhale because Liz Lark doesn't elaborate.

Good workout? It will help you to tone up and become more flexible, but not sure if you would lose weight.

Recommend it? Yes, but not to beginners.

Strictly Come Dancing - The Workout, with Kelly Brook and Flavia Cacace, £11.98

Basics An introduction class and then routine for salsa, Argentine tango, quickstep and jive (fast and slow).

Easy to follow? Flavia clearly explained the workouts, but I was lost during the routines.

Good workout? No. In fact, the warm-up and cool-down are short, and I would like to have been given more tips on safety.

Recommend it? No - even as a huge Strictly fan who has done the last two DVDs to death.
