Chelm likes the cut and colour of her hair, but thinks it is too thin. When it was cut four weeks ago there was not much noticeable change and she would like to do something significantly different.
SOLUTION
One way to improve thin hair is with hair extensions. They don’t all look unnatural; there is a new way of putting extentions in by using strips of 100 per cent natural European hair, which are sewn into the real hair. They are very light and can be reused. The extensions can be sewn in around the baseline and sides of the head. Then the hair can be razored into soft, heavy layers for a more natural look.
To style, take sections of the hair with a round brush, blast with a hairdryer or flick out the sides with ceramic irons. Once the hair is dry, run your fingers through and finish with a light hairspray.
You can book an appointment with Elena Lachuer, a hair extension specialist, at Hari’s salon.
For advice from Hari, send two photographs, front and side, with a brief description of your hair dilemma to: Hari’s Hair Column, times2, 1 Pennington Street, London E98 1TT.
