Congratulations - not just on the upcoming birthday but on your fashion bravery. Jumpsuits are everywhere this spring and there is absolutely no reason why you can't celebrate in one.

When a jumpsuit is worn well, it can look glamorous and effortless in equal measure and be very comfortable too. But done badly... well, let's put it this way, steer clear of fabrics that cling and don't be swayed by prints either. This needs to be Jerry Hall at Studio 54, not playful children's television presenter.

The most flattering way of wearing an all-in-one is to break up the overall look with seams and details, such as these belt loops. The crepe fabric is also a wise idea; it skims the body nicely and is dressy without looking over the top.

To help to elongate the body, it would be best to wear your jumpsuit with a pair of heels. Lastly, invest in a pair of bold earrings or a dramatic necklace. After all it's your party and you should feel wonderful.
