Unfortunately for Sienna and Savannah Miller, having a celebrity name above the door does not maketh the designer.

As everyone knows, Sienna wears clothes very nicely indeed. She did her boho thing well and magazine readers felt assured, once the sun came out, that the younger Miller sibling could help lead them to maxidress Utopia. Then boho made a swift departure from our conscience. And, strangely, the Miller sisters thought that then would be a good time to Do Their Own Thing. It’s a risky decision, because wearing other people’s clothes nicely is a whole different ball game from designing your own. But Savannah (the main designer), studied at Central Saint Martins. Surely this and the celebrity factor would be enough?

Well, in sales terms, a quick flick to the Twenty8Twelve website proves that the label is stocked and appreciated healthily worldwide. And yet the show seemed totally pointless. Jeans, bra tops and shirts tied at the hip all featured heavily. As did sexy bed hair, enlarged pendant crosses and shade-your-head-from-the-Ibiza-sun bandanas. Really, this was an exercise in styling.

But so what if it seemed non-sensical on the LFW schedule, the Miller sisters appear to be selling by the bucket load (they have three stores in London alone) and, really, that’s what matters.
