I am 17, a size 8 and petite, and looking for a fashionable winter jumper. I am not too keen on turtlenecks or really long lines. It has to go with leggings, and my skinny jeans and over-the-knee boots. What do you think?
Knitwear is workable with pretty much anything. See Christopher Kane (right) for inspiration on really mixing it up. Take your cue from him and go for something neutral, with subtle detailing — this jumper, by Topshop (£35), is similar — to wear with everything from sequined skirts to jeans. If you are petite, it is indeed wise to avoid shapes that are too long and slouchy: they need to reach midthigh, no lower. For something glitzy and bang on trend, go for French Connection’s sequined sweatshirt (£45).
I love Christian Louboutin’s court shoes and would like something similar. I’m not an experienced high-heel wearer, so I need a relatively low pair. And as a student, I don’t want to pay more than is necessary. What do you suggest?
Something like Louboutin’s midheel height is ideal for giving a little boost without going skyscrapingly high. And luckily you don't have to fork out £340. Primark does a pair with a studded heel (£17) for a tougher take on the look. Or head to Topshop for leopard-print courts (£55) — they will make a statement all on their own.
I am desperately seeking a duffel coat, but can’t find one anywhere. Can you help? I don’t want to look like a schoolgirl, so I’d like something classic and stylish. My budget is £300.
Duffel coats are total classics — and really warm, to boot. A red one by Miss Selfridge (£55), with its rope detailing, is quite a casual take on the look. Traditionalists tend to head to Gloverall (gloverall.com); prices from £225.
