It is the worst of both worlds. It isn’t blonde, it isn’t brown. Hair Bitch’s friend, Mark Smith of John Frieda, says: “The colour looks just as if she’s washed it out. It has a dirty nylon texture. Her previous short hair looked like she had been licked in the face by a large animal.”

Somewhere in between making all those movies, she lost not only her life, but her hair. She’d been working so hard on one film that she fell asleep and woke up to find perm curlers in. A few days later, her fringe fell off. She used to say her hair didn’t mean anything to her, then she was pining for it. In her in-between days, she said the thing she wanted most was long hair — the long hair she cut off for her career.

Mark Smith says: “Longer is definitely better for her, but she needs to apply product to give it life. The parting is too symmetrical, too obviously not perfect and too long.”
