Prison is just not tough enough. It should be: Dartmoor, bread and water, hard labour, maximum sentences. Build more prisonspay warders properly and don't tolerate prison corruption. This is one cure for a sick society.

If the issue today is within our youth culture and their lack of imposed boundaries from their parents then perhaps it is time for National Service as a possible immediate action.
Whatever law is passed regarding additional policing and judicial review they will not deal with this social issue.

I think England's problem lies in the souless blocks of flats in the large cities which are simply breeding grounds for crime. Stop immigratiion into your country as you are over-populated now. Try to make those hideous housing estates more people friendly. Also try Zero toleration like NY did.

I think we also need to talk about parent's responsibility here. Do they know what their kids are doing and where they are going, who are they associated with? I think the upbringing that they get early on would go a long way in shaping the outlook of these kids
